ZAMAKAN EG, FR, CH (VD)
Abdallah Abozekry (saz, voc), Baiju Bhatt (v), Baptiste Ferrandis (g)
In this boldly radical creative project, Abdallah Abozekry's saz meets Baptiste Ferrandis' guitar and Baiju Bhatt's violin to weave music that spans continents. Between jazz, oriental sounds, and electronic experimentation, the musicians passionately embrace each other's influences to develop a common language. Whether calm or impetuous, the trio's energy unfolds through different variations in intensity, in a generous performance that leaves room for improvisation. Almost instantly, ZAMAKAN—which means “space-time” in Arabic—transports us to another place, to another reality where dreaminess and sensuality reign supreme.
