With five albums to their credit, their performances add a new dimension, showcasing creativity and the power of live music. To mark the release of their new album, scheduled for spring 2026 on the ACT label, the Smart brothers—Jordan on saxophone and Nick on keyboards—are joined on drums by longtime friend Rob Turner, formerly of GoGo Penguin. Circadia is a meditation on renewal and the beauty of change, blending post-rock energy and folk sensibility with a rhythmic emphasis, marking a bold new direction in the trio’s artistic journey.

The 42nd edition of the Festival welcomed Chris Potter and Craig Taborn for an exceptional acoustic concert. In a quartet with bassist Reid Anderson and drummer Dave King of the legendary band The Bad Plus, they return to Cully this year to revisit the repertoire of Keith Jarrett and his American Quartet. Pushing the boundaries of improvisation while balancing structure, spontaneity, and rhythmic exploration, this collaboration is not only a tribute to Jarrett’s seminal music but also a testament to its continued relevance in today’s jazz landscape. The extraordinary synergy and mastery of these acclaimed musicians promise a truly memorable performance.

Winner of the 2025 Cully Jazz Mentorship Award for his remarkable artistic potential, Victor Decamp trained in classical and jazz music at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU). With a powerful, contemporary aesthetic, his highly expressive compositions combine groove, intense bursts of energy, and lyricism. His work can be heard in the Slide Collective project and the MUNDUS trio, which performed at Cully as part of the free 2025 line-up. For the opening of a three-part evening, CJO performs Victor Decamp’s compositions, bringing together 11 musicians from the talented new generation of Swiss jazz.
