One of the most influential Afro-Brazilian groups in the past decade, Bixiga 70—named after the street of the studio where they first came together—has built a reputation for its distinctive fusion of Afrobeat, funk, and traditional Brazilian music. Formed in 2010 by musicians from São Paulo, the collective underwent a transformation in 2023, welcoming a new lineup and releasing the album Vapor. On stage, their powerful brass, complex percussion, and captivating rhythm section deliver electrifying energy, showcasing groove, interaction, and rhythmic intensity.
