Richard Galliano New Viaggio Trio FR
Richard Galliano (acc), Adrien Moignard (g), Philippe Aerts (cb)
Since his 1994 debut in Cully with the fantastic Brazilians Hermeto Pascoal and Nene, Richard Galliano’s performances have consistently been emotionally charged experiences. A familiar face at the Festival, he has performed in various formats alongside prestigious names such as Michel Portal, Eddy Louiss, and Paolo Fresu. More recently, his 2022 concert with the New York Tango Trio resulted in a critically acclaimed live album. The very mention of this great jazz accordionist inevitably takes us on a nostalgic trip down memory lane — and now he returns as part of a trio for a project that invites us to revisit the unique atmosphere of his iconic album Viaggio, on the occasion of its reissue.
