Davide Ambrogio grew up in a small town in Aspromonte, a mountainous region in Calabria, southwestern Italy, where ancient religious rituals and devotional songs still persist. Deeply connected to his native land, he has drawn inspiration to create a musical practice that respects tradition while embracing modernity. His project, Evocazioni e Invocazioni, reflects on sound, the depth of song, and the ecstatic and aesthetic power of music. Combining voice, lyre, guitar, tambourine, zumpettana (flute), and electric zampogna (bagpipe), Ambrogio condenses the intensity of these evocations into a captivating solo performance.
