The notes of True Sorry, released over a decade ago, have serenaded the ears of millions of listeners and given Ibrahim Maalouf's trumpet playing its distinctive character. Now one of the most popular jazz musicians on the French scene, Maalouf has performed in the biggest venues and released a total of 17 successful albums. Returning to the Festival in 2019, the musician presents his latest project, Trumpets of Michel-Ange (or T.O.M.A), taking us on a grand musical journey blending folklore and modernity. Both demanding and accessible, his music evokes oriental sounds and invites all generations to the celebration.

the BIG TUSK defies conventions by creating the ecstatic atmosphere of electronic music through trumpet, keyboards, guitar, and drums. Drawing from a diverse range of influences such as Knower, Aphex Twin, and Kurt Cobain, the quartet crafts a surprising, unique, and captivating artistic universe. The band's debut album, It's Alive!, reflects these eclectic references while letting the sounds of jazz— the genre from which its members originate—emerge. In constant synergy and with a strong emphasis on improvisation, the instruments immerse us in an atmosphere of varying density, where both powerful growls and distant murmurs resonate.
