Post-Balkan brass from Bern! For a decade and a half now, these twelve men, soberly dressed in black, have been setting stages alight, sometimes with frenzied rhythms, sometimes with more civilised sounds, but always in a highly festive spirit. Traktorkestar doesn't just combine deeply idiosyncratic music with Balkan tunes: the band also builds bridges between city and countryside, tradition and modernity, or a tractor and an orchestra! In Cully, the band invites a host of illustrious guests to a grand gala: among them are Albanian-Swiss jazz singer Elina Duni, American-Swiss jazz singer Erika Stucky, and Stephan Eicher, with whom Traktorkestar has already released the joint album ‘Hüh!’ and set off more than one confetti cannon.

Lea Maria Fries is an established artist whose musical journey reveals rich experience and deep sensitivity. She has collaborated with numerous ensembles such as Visitor, For A Word and Et.nu, and has also led her own quartet, 22° Halo, asserting her artistic identity on the music scene. Today, she steps forward with confidence with Cleo, an album of a more personal nature, driven by sincerity and an honest outlook on the world around her. Comprising eleven original compositions and one cover, arranged by Julien Herné and performed by leading musicians from the French jazz scene, Cleo is a contemporary work that is powerful, sensitive, and full of surprises.
