As soon as her debut album You & I was released in 2016, London-based ALA.NI instantly captivated audiences with her crystal-clear voice and the timeless, minimalist atmosphere of her intimate concerts. Her duet with cellist and composer Clément Petit was a highlight of the 36th edition of Cully Jazz. In 2025, after a two-year hiatus in her homeland, the singer returns to the European stage with an album evoking the lights of the Caribbean. With subtle rewritings of iconic Caribbean rhythms and playful nods to Brazil, this project takes listeners on a journey through a repertoire that blends calypso, ragga, bossa nova, and rocksteady.
